Fluxtrol Sponsors Student Competition at Heat Treat 2025
Fluxtrol was proud to sponsor the student competition at “Heat Treat 2025” held by The ASM (American Society of Materials) Heat Treating Society. This year marked The ASM Heat Treating Society’s 34th annual conference and exhibition, conducted between OCTOBER 21 – 23 | located at Huntington Place, 1 Washington Blvd. Detroit, MI 48226.
The student competition was specifically designed for young and innovative scientists entering the field of heat treating. Students competing in the event traveled to Detroit from universities across the country, with some even traveling internationally to compete. This was Fluxtrol’s 10th year sponsoring the competition, with Fluxtrol’s own Rob Goldstein, FASM serving as a judge.
The initiative aims to stimulate the involvement of emerging scientists in the ASM Heat Treating Society and to present appealing opportunities within the worldwide Thermal Processing community. The competition was divided into two phases: a poster competition and an oral presentation competition for the students that advanced to the semi-finals.
The annual Heat Treat conference also serves as a great opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues across the induction heating industry. We were proud to see our SMC (soft magnetic composites) products represented at booths throughout the event.
