Personal Training

Courses for individuals and industrial groups, from theory to hands-on coil work.

Fluxtrol’s Centre for Induction Technology (CIT) organizes induction heating courses at the Fluxtrol facility for individuals and industrial groups. Tailored lectures on theory and simulation are paired with practical training in coil design and manufacturing, magnetic controller installation and process setup, and a free online course is also available.

CIT organizes courses at the Fluxtrol facility for individuals and groups of industrials, which include specifically tailored lectures on theory and simulation as well as practical training in coil design and manufacturing, magnetic controller installation and the process setup and demonstration. Example of such event is a 3-day course for 8 operators and engineers from Mexico. A set of lectures was followed by hands-on training program and visits to the coil companies.

What the training covers

  • Theory and simulation. Lectures tailored to the group on how induction heating works and how computer simulation is used to design coils and processes.
  • Coil design and manufacturing. Practical sessions on designing and building induction coils.
  • Magnetic controller installation. How SMC controllers are machined , assembled and maintained on a coil.
  • Process setup and demonstration. Running the process, seeing the effect of controllers and coil changes.

How a course is organized

Courses are held at the Fluxtrol facility, where the laboratory and coil shop are available for demonstration. The Mexico example shows the pattern: a set of lectures, then a hands-on program, then visits to coil companies. Content is tailored to the group, whether operators, engineers, coil builders or managers.

Free learning resources

Not every question needs a course. The free online induction heating course is for people at different technical levels and covers induction technique, installations, coil styles, computer simulation, the benefits of magnetic flux control and concentrator material selection and application technique. It contains more than 400 slides in slide show, YouTube and narrated Ignite formats. The glossary and FAQ provide quick definitions and answers, and the technical library collects papers.

Why CIT

Fluxtrol’s about page explains that CIT was founded in 1993 for the education and promotion of induction technologies, and Prof. Dr. Valentin Nemkov was invited to lead its technical efforts. Fluxtrol also says CIT educates user professionals toward induction excellence. UIE president Prof. Egbert Baake writes that CIT is well known for contributions to the knowledge base and education via publications, conferences and lecturing.

Who benefits

The free course names final users, designers, coil manufacturers, technical personnel and managers as its audience. In-person courses have been delivered to operators and engineers, and the lecture-plus-hands-on format suits teams that will build, install or run induction coils.

Outcomes

The courses are built to give operators and engineers both the theory behind induction heating and practical skills in coil design, controller installation and process setup. No certification is described in sources.
