Our experts regularly make presentations at different conferences (HES, ASM, IFHTSE, SME, SAE, SAMPE, AEROMAT, etc.) and educational seminars in USA, Mexico, China, India, Brazil, and other countries. When required, we organize seminars at the customer facilities. Seminars at GKN, Caterpillar, Dow Corning and Mac Truck are the examples of such courses. Photo from a seminar in Luoyang, China, 2006
2025 QDE Conference
Fluxtrol was proud to serve as a Corporate Sponsor of the 3rd International Conference on Quenching and Distortion Engineering (QDE) in Vancouver.

May 2025
Fluxtrol was proud to serve as a Corporate Sponsor of the 3rd International Conference on Quenching and Distortion Engineering (QDE) in Vancouver.
As a global leader in magnetic flux control for induction heating, Fluxtrol is committed to supporting both cutting-edge industry advancements and the next generation of engineers and researchers. In addition to our corporate sponsorship, we were honored to sponsor the Student Research Competition, an initiative that highlights emerging talent and forward-thinking research in the field of heat treating and materials science.
The QDE event brought together leading professionals to explore critical topics such as quenching, distortion, and residual stress, while fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across industries.
At QDE 2025, Fluxtrol’s Rob Goldstein presented on
Limitations of Standard Probes for the Measurement of Spray Quenching.
Spray quenchants are frequently used in induction heat treating because they offer much faster cooling than immersion quenchants. However, the industry currently lacks precise and reliable methods for measuring and characterizing these high-speed spray quenchants.
Goldstein’s virtual study revealed that standard quench probes are too slow to accurately capture the cooling characteristics of water-based spray systems. The study explored the use of small diameter silver probes, which showed promise for improved response time and accuracy—but raised questions about their practicality in industrial settings.

Our sponsorship was also recognized in the May 13, 2025 edition of HTPro eNewsletter from ASM International.
